My first finished project of twenty-ten (doesn't that just sound weird?) and I'm in LOVE! I absolutely love this scarf! It is definitely my new favorite!

I have had
this pattern saved in my "to-make" pattern folder ever since I first saw it on the
Purl Bee. It looked simple enough for my beginner skill level yet interesting enough to make a beautiful scarf. It really is a super simple pattern that goes quickly.

The yarn I used is utterly fantastic! Seriously! It is just gorgeous! I wish I could use this yarn for every project! It is
Manos Silk Blend in color 3029. So super soft and oh so lovely! For this project, I used two hanks or 300 yards. I knit this scarf of a size 10 needles (my new
circular knitpicks needles to be exact!). My finished scarf measures approximately 5 inches wide by 60 inches long.

I would have liked to have added maybe one more skein to make it slightly longer, but I think the two skeins worked out okay and it is still plenty long to tie it the way that I like. Plus I loved it so much I couldn't wait much longer to finish it!
Raverly Project Link.
I love the colour! It looks really soft and squishy. Well done! -me@salihan.com

ReplyDeleteI can't believe how many beautiful projects you completed last year! I still haven't finished the quilt I started for Aiden before he was born and he's almost 7 months old now! You are so talented!
ReplyDeleteThe scarf looks great. Nice color choice.
ReplyDeleteI just finished this scarf, too! And I love my Knitpicks circulars as well. Glad you're a convert.
