New Baby Blanket

Our friends just had a baby so I had to hurry and whip a blanket up for them. For some reason I stock pile the girl blankets and ever have any boy blankets. I am kinda sad to see this one go because I love this fabric so much. I had picked this one out with the specific purpose that I would keep it for me (I do hope that one day I will have children and I'd like to be prepared). I still might, because I really am having a hard time parting with it. I used a green pokadot for the back side.
Since I needed this done in such a hurry, I just edged it with a simple v-stitch. It only took me about an hour to go around. Super fast, that is my kind of stitch. I am headed home for the fourth of July. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Really cute blanket! I love the monkey pattern. I've got a soft spot for monkey fabric too. Have a great 4th!
