Slip Stitch Heel Socks

My second pair of completed socks! What do you think? I kinda LOVE them! Actually, I really really love them! I've been wearing them non-stop since I finished them. For these socks, I learned how to do the Magic Loop Technique on one circular needle! So much easier than the DPN's I was working on. I used the same cast on method (Judy's magic cast on) and increased until I had 66 stitches. Plain ole' stockinette until the heel where I tried the Slip Stitch Heel. I like this heel, probably not as much as I liked the Sherman short row heel, but it is a lot thicker and still comfy. It just takes a lot of counting, which sometimes I mess up on. I ended with a 3x3 ribbing for the cuff. Yarn - Cascade Heritage Paints - Wild Roses
Needles - Size 2.75 40" circular

The socks look amazing! This is one thing I still need to try. I started a pair and gave up on them. You inspire me to try again. Awesome job on them!

Cute socks. They look just like some my daughter is making for me - well not pink, I think mine are blue. Anyway I LOVE 'EM!
