It is finally finished! I love it so much! I couldn't bear to part with it so I'm going to be keeping this one. It was a first on many levels for me: first time with applique, first time machine quilting (technically my second but the first time I had help, lots of help!), first time trying to get grease out of white material (I did get it out by the way). I absolutely love the way it turned out. I can't wait to make another one. 
Here is the backing. I didn't have enough of the white to do the whole thing, or even enough of the blue to put across the top so I just used what I had. Tonight I'm going to put a label on it.
I love all of its crinkle goodness!
