Stash for Raverly

Have you noticed that Webs is having a huge anniversary sale? Did you see all the beautiful yarn on sale? Did you see the fantastic prices? Have you ordered any?

I'm desperately trying to avoid that site in hopes that I can avoid purchases in obscene amounts. To try and help me realize that I already have a lot of projects patiently waiting for me, I been organizing my stash. Look at all this great yarn I have waiting to be knit into something fantastic!

I have three skeins of this lovely eggplant color of Valley Yarns Prescott Alpaca yarn. Isn't it delicious!? I have plans to turn it into a scarf like this. This yarn, Universal Yarn Deluxe Worsted Tones, is already on the needles being turned into an Irish Hiking Scarf. I love the color of this yarn and the wool will really make for a nice warm scarf when I'm finished. I have three skeins of this Classic Elite One Fifty, which I have no idea what I'm going to use it for. Maybe a shawl, or a scarf (I really like scarfs!), or.... I'm open to any ideas? Oooohh, and this! This lovely hank of Malabrigo!!! Isn't it just delicious!? I just love it and will definitely be adding more of this yarn to my stash, hopefully soon. I ordered one skein of the Tuscan Sky color and I absolutely adore it. I have plans to use this to make a hat. Not sure which one yet, there are just so many cute patterns to choose from. One thing that I have noticed is missing from my stash is lots and lots of sock yarn. Maybe I should just stop by Webs for a few minutes to have see if they have any good sales of sock yarn? Maybe? It is just so tempting.

Hey you! Love you yarn, shawls, cowls, hats, mittens, and fingerless mittens are all great things. And everyone says sock yarn does not count as stash! ;) Oh and Knit Picks just got some new sock yarn that is cute and oh so cheap!
Good luck!

pretty yarn! Yay for resisting the Webs sale, too.

I think the Tuesday Night Cowl would look great in that classic elite yarn: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/tuesday-night-cowl

Fun! I hope that you are considering changing your "beginner status". My first project was an intermediate blanket for my niece 6 years ago and it was easy. I have still never done cables (learning this year) or sox. I always thought once you learned cables and sox you were well on your way, So, I think you've surpassed the beginner stage in my book :) Your projects looks great!

Let me know how you like the Classic One Fifty. We're thinking about carrying it in the shop.
