Cards & A New Quilt

Well, what can I say... I am the queen of new projects. Which is what I have been working on. We finally got out house put in order, well for the most part, and then I spent a few days making cards to send out to our family giving them our new address. It is hard to keep up to date with us since we move so much, so I thought this might help a little. Thanks to Rebekah again for all the scrapbooking stuff. I made all these cards with the stuff that she sent.
Then I promptly got to work on my new quilt. It is a dutch pinwheel quilt, and so adorable. I saw this pattern in a book my mom had and knew that I had to make one. After a little quilting drama (thanks to mom and Aunt Ellen for helping me solve it) I got one block completed and all the squares cut out. Please don't notice that they don't line up perfectly because I am still working on that part. Hopefully I'll get more quilting time in this week and can get it finished by this weekend. Or not... you never know with me.

I'm really inpressed with the quit block actually! I know from my mom making quilts when I was a kid that getting eights points to end in the same spot is really difficult. It looks great!
The cards are cute, too. I like the pink one in the background and the one with the tall flowers with the brown border. They're all really cute, though!

those cards are so cute! I'm so glad that you are putting all of that paper to good use...it was tired of getting stuck on my shelf : )

your quilt blocks look great! I love the white/patterned combo. It looks so fresh and springy!
